Make these favorite, classic cookies quickly and easily with the dome® using only one bowl. The dome blends cookie dough more efficiently than a spoon, so you can put this recipe together in less than ten minutes.

Ingredients:

1 cup plus 2 tablespoons of all purpose flour

¼ teaspoon of baking soda

¼ teaspoon of baking powder

½ teaspoon of salt

1/3  cup of dark brown sugar

1/3  cup of cane sugar

½ cup of butter (1 stick)

1 egg

1 teaspoon of vanilla

6 ounces of chocolate chips

½ cup of chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions

Place the flour in a mixing bowl.

Add two kinds of leavening for the optimal cookie spread– not too thin and not too thick – both baking soda and baking powder are added. Then add salt and mix the dry ingredients together, sifting and stirring with the dome.

Next add the two kinds of sugar. Mix these into the dry ingredients making sure the sugar is spread throughout.

Make a well in the center for one whole egg. Crack it in. Break the yolk with the blade on the dome and stir the egg until it’s more or less uniform.

Add a stick of butter softened to room temperature. Add the vanilla. Push all the ingredients together and continue blending until creamy.

Add chocolate chips and walnuts. (If you want to add walnuts, you can use the dome to crush them into smaller pieces) Finish blending.

Place the dough in the refrigerator for twenty minutes to let the dough rest and the flavors develop.

Preheat the oven to 350°

Drop the dough by teaspoons onto a greased baking pan.

Bake at 350° for ten to twelve minutes.
